Turkish Translation Services
Turkish records are translated into English at DHCTranslations for $54 a document, with the signed certificate and the PDF included; past 400 words the charge is $0.12 per word. The certificate names the registry office, prosecutor's office or court behind the record, and it names the kind of record rather than generalizing it.

What comes with a certified Turkish translation
A Turkish order is returned with a signed statement of accuracy, and the certificate names the registry office, public prosecutor's office or court that issued the record.
What the certification includes
- Signed statement of accuracy: the translator's name, signature and date, their CIOL or ITI membership number, our company stamp and our contact details.
- Turkish characters: the dotless and the dotted i are different letters, and so are the marked forms of s, g, c and o. A name set without them reads as another name, so every mark is carried across and the spelling on a passport is followed where one is supplied.
- Maiden names: a married woman may carry her husband's surname alone or her own as well, and the record names the latter as her maiden name. Both surnames are kept in the order the record prints them, since a US form asks for the maiden name separately.
- Certified PDF: the certified file is emailed at no extra cost, which is what a US filing accepts. A printed set can be arranged if a receiving body insists on paper, and is quoted per order.

Turkish registry records and what each proves
A Turkish civil registry office issues the same family history in several forms, and which form you hold decides what a US reader can conclude from it. The table below sets out the forms US applicants send and what the English makes of each.
Civil registry record
- What usually appears
- Vukuatlı nüfus kayıt örneği, listing the household with its births, marriages and deaths
- What we do with it
- Translated whole, with every event and its date in the order the register holds them
Criminal record
- What usually appears
- Sabıka kaydı from the public prosecutor's office, with a reference and a date
- What we do with it
- Translated complete, with the office, the reference and the date of issue
Academic record
- What usually appears
- Transkript with marks out of 100 and a grade point line, plus the diploma
- What we do with it
- Each subject and mark carried across, with the 100-point and GPA scales both explained
Court decision
- What usually appears
- Mahkeme kararı with the court, the esas number and the karar number
- What we do with it
- Set out as the court set it out, with both numbers left where they appear
The registry record answers several questions at once, and a US form asks them one at a time. The English keeps the events in the register's own order, so a birth, a marriage and a death are each visible rather than folded into a single marital status.

Frequently asked questions
DHCTranslations translates Turkish records into English at our US offices, and the certificate that goes with them is signed by the translator. Send a scan of every page and tell us which agency will read it, since a registry record and a criminal record are checked for different things.
A document is $54, which covers the translation, the signed statement and the PDF. Past 400 words the charge is $0.12 per word into English, and a Turkish version of a US document is $0.14. A set sent together is quoted on the total words.
A single page paid for before 4pm ET on a weekday normally follows the same day. A registry record with several events usually takes the next business day, and a court file or a long transcript is quoted with a date.
Yes. 8 CFR 103.2(b)(3) requires the full document in English and a certificate signed by the translator, giving their competence, the date and contact details. Every page of the original is covered, and the certificate names the kind of record it was.
It is the detailed civil registry record: the household, with its births, marriages and deaths listed as events. A US agency asking about family relationships usually wants this form rather than a single birth entry, and the certificate says which form it translated.
Yes. They are separate letters, not accents. The dotless i is not a dotted i, and the marked forms of s, g, c and o all change the word. Every mark is kept as printed, and where a passport gives its own spelling, that spelling is used so the two documents match.
Turkish law lets a married woman carry her husband's surname, her own as well, or her own alone where she has registered that choice. The record shows what applies, and both surnames are translated in the order printed, with the maiden name marked as such.
It is the criminal record, issued by the public prosecutor's office and often obtained through the government portal. It carries a reference and a date, and both are translated with the office named, because an agency checking it wants to know when it was issued.
It certifies a registered address, usually for a school place, a benefit or an official application. It is not proof of nationality or of family relationship, and the English says what it does certify rather than letting it stand in for a residence permit.
No. Scans are enough, and a clear photograph is accepted where the page is flat and the stamp legible. Originals stay with you; the certified PDF comes back by email and is printed for whichever copies the filing needs.
Yes, at $0.14 per word. Powers of attorney and diplomas are the usual orders, and the Turkish is written with the characters and the office names a Turkish authority expects, so it can be used there without a second translation.
