Bengali Translation Services

Certified Bengali to English translation for USCIS filings, US court cases, university applications and credential evaluations. We read Bangla records issued by Bangladesh's city corporations, union parishads and education boards alongside West Bengal municipal certificates, and every page is signed by the translator who produced it.

A certified Bengali to English translation starts at $54 per document at DHCTranslations, with the signed translator statement and the PDF included, and text past 400 words billed at $0.12 per word. A Bangladeshi birth registration, a West Bengal municipal certificate and a Bangladeshi NID card all leave here with the same certification page, so a USCIS officer can see who translated the file and on what date.

What a certified Bengali translation costs

Certified translations start at $54 per document: from $0.12 per word after the first 400 words into English, and from $0.14 per word for English into another language, with some pairs quoted higher.

Certification is the translator's signed statement, and it is included in the price.

A translation for USCIS, a US court or a US university is certified by the translator's signed statement, and nothing further is added to the quote.

    Prepared for US filings

What a certified Bengali translation arrives with

Every Bengali order returns as English text plus a signed statement of accuracy giving the translator's name, the date and our contact details, which is the shape a USCIS officer, a court clerk or an admissions reader is looking for.

    What the certification includes

    • Signed statement of accuracy: the translator's name, signature and date, their CIOL or ITI membership number, our company stamp and our contact details.
    • Bangla and the printed English: where a Bangladeshi form carries an English column beside the Bangla, the two are compared rather than copied, and every point where they part company is set out in a translator's note.
    • Ward and registrar marks: ward stamps, registration numbers, registrar signatures and handwritten entries are translated where they fall on the page, so the English keeps the order of the original.
    • Certified PDF: the certified file is emailed at no extra cost, which is what a US filing accepts. A printed set can be arranged if a receiving body insists on paper, and is quoted per order.

    Two registry systems

Bengali is one script printed by two very different registry systems

Bangla is the script on both sides of the border, but the paper behind it is issued by a city corporation or a union parishad in Bangladesh and by a municipality in West Bengal, and the two offices name the same record differently. Each row below sets the English term beside the Bangla printed on the document and says what a US reviewer looks for in it.

The Bangladeshi birth form prints Bangla and English on a single page, so the English column is checked against the Bangla instead of being trusted, and any disagreement is flagged in a translator's note. A West Bengal certificate normally arrives in Bangla alone, and the municipality that issued it is named in the English. A Muslim marriage in Bangladesh produces a kabinnama, which is a contract rather than a certificate, and it is translated as one.

    Frequently asked questions

DHCTranslations asks you to send a scan or photograph of every page and say which office will read the English, and the price comes back in writing before anything is translated. The work goes to a translator who reads Bangla daily, and the PDF arrives with that translator's signed statement and the date.

From $54 for a single document, which covers the signed certification and the emailed PDF. Anything past 400 words is charged at $0.12 per word into English, and English into Bangla at $0.14 per word. A family set of several certificates is quoted on the combined word count.

A one-page certificate paid before 4pm ET on a weekday is usually emailed the same day. Three or four certificates for a family file generally clear within one business day, and a long court record or university transcript is given a firm date in the quote.

Yes. USCIS wants the whole document in English plus a signed statement of the translator's competence with a date and contact details, which is what 8 CFR 103.2(b)(3) requires. Every Bengali order carries that statement, and no page of the original is left untranslated.

By the form itself. The Bangladeshi registration prints Bangla and English on one page with a ward and a registration number, while a West Bengal certificate is usually Bangla only and names a municipality. The English states which office issued the record, so the reviewer is never left to guess the country.

Both. A Bangladeshi national identity card and a citizenship certificate are translated in full, with the number, the issuing office and the photograph note reproduced, and the name carried in the same spelling used across the rest of your file.

One romanized form is fixed at the start and reused on every page, because Md., Mohammad and Muhammad otherwise read as three different people. Where a passport or an NID card already romanizes the name, that spelling is followed rather than improved on.

A Bangladeshi record is dated in the Gregorian calendar and is carried across unchanged. Older West Bengal papers sometimes add a Bangla year beside it, and that year stays where it was printed, with a short note giving its Gregorian equivalent.

It is the marriage contract used for a Muslim marriage in Bangladesh, recording the dower, the witnesses and the registrar's entry. We translate it as the contract it is rather than relabeling it a marriage certificate, because a US reader comparing it with a certificate expects a different document.

No. A flat scan or a clear phone photograph of each page is enough, including any reverse that carries a stamp, and the certified PDF comes back by email. A printed set is quoted on request and sent by USPS tracked mail, with postage priced before you pay.

Both are routine. Records from Dhaka and Chattogram city corporations, union parishads and sub-registries are handled alongside West Bengal municipal certificates. Where a scan does not make the issuing office clear we ask before translating, rather than assuming a country and getting it wrong.

Yes. Yes. A certified Bangla version of a US document is charged at $0.14 per word, the rate that applies whenever English is the source. Birth certificates, diplomas and court orders prepared this way carry the same signed statement and are used for registrations and filings in Bangladesh.

Handwritten entries and worn seals are ordinary on union parishad records. We translate what is legible, describe a failed impression in brackets where it sits, and note anything genuinely unreadable rather than inventing a reading; a duplicate copy from the registry usually closes the gap.
