Immigration Document Translation
An immigration filing arrives as a bundle, and the bundle is what gets quoted. Affidavits, letters from an employer, sponsor declarations, civil certificates and the exhibits to a Request for Evidence are translated as one set, with one spelling of each name and one certificate wording. From $54 per document.

How a Bundle of Immigration Documents Is Translated
A filing is read as a whole, so a surname spelled one way in an affidavit and another way on a birth certificate reads as two different people. Where the languages allow it, one linguist takes the set and the spellings are fixed before the first page is written.
What the translation covers
-
Affidavits: sworn statements are translated with the jurat and the signature block intact, because the form of the oath is part of what the officer is assessing.
-
Sponsor and Employment Letters: letters of support, employment verification and pay statements keep the letterhead, the signer's title and the date where they sit.
-
Civil Documents: birth, marriage and police certificates in the same bundle are translated to match each other, which is where a mismatched surname is usually caught.
-
RFE Exhibits: when a Request for Evidence names documents by exhibit letter, the translation keeps that lettering so the response can be read against the request.
Before you order
What the notice says decides how much of the bundle has to be translated.
-
What Was Asked For: send the page that lists the documents wanted, since translating a whole bundle when four pages were named is money spent for nothing.
-
Certified or Not: papers filed with USCIS need the signed statement, while an internal company record may not, and the price is the same either way here.
-
One Linguist: say how many documents are in the set, so one translator takes the lot and the terminology does not shift between pages.
Send the bundle in one message where you can. Splitting it across two orders is what produces two spellings.

What our clients say
Rated 4.9/5 from 314 verified reviews for USCIS submissions, court filings and credential evaluations.
“The Interior Ministry extract and my parents' Hebrew names were set out exactly, and the note about which name was a patronymic settled the caseworker's question.”
Yael B.
“The criminal record certificate was short, but the reference and issue date mattered, and both came through exactly as printed.”
Björn A.
“The leaflet went into Welsh alongside the English, and the clinical terms matched the health board's own glossary rather than being invented.”

Frequently asked questions
DHCTranslations translates immigration bundles from a New York base and certifies each document with a signed translator statement, emailing the set as PDFs that can be filed in the order USCIS receives them.
Each document starts at $54 and runs at $0.12 per word into English past the first 400 words. A bundle is quoted as a set, so you see one figure per document rather than an estimate for the file.
Yes, and it should be. One order means one translator, one spelling of each name and one statement covering the set, which is what an officer reads when the exhibits have to agree with each other.
Where a letter is filed with USCIS as evidence of employment or support, it needs the signed statement. Letters used inside a company do not, and the price does not change between the two cases.
It is the sponsor's declaration that the applicant will not become a public charge, filed with tax returns and pay records. DHCTranslations translates the supporting documents and any foreign-language statement attached to it.
USCIS requires a complete translation and a signed statement of accuracy under 8 CFR 103.2(b)(3), which is the form every translation here carries, and DHCTranslations documents have been accepted. The decision stays with the officer.
Yes, and it is often the most useful page to send first, because it names the documents wanted and the deadline. Translating the notice also shows which exhibits need a certified version.
Tell us which spelling is correct and it is used across the whole set, with the original spelling kept where a document reads differently. That is the fault an officer catches first in a bundle.
Two or three documents approved before 4pm ET usually come back inside one business day, and a larger set is given a date in the quote. Turnaround is an estimate, not a promise, and it is confirmed per order.
Yes, on the court page, which covers judgments, orders and dispositions for US filings. Link through from the card above and send the pages with the petition reference.
