Nepali Translation Services
A certified Nepali to English translation starts at $54 per document at DHCTranslations, with the signed certification and the emailed PDF included, and text past 400 words charged at $0.12 per word. The citizenship certificate is usually the first page translated, because the rest of a Nepali file is checked against it, and a ward-office birth registration or migration certificate follows from there.

What a certified Nepali translation costs
Certified translations start at $54 per document: from $0.12 per word after the first 400 words into English, and from $0.14 per word for English into another language, with some pairs quoted higher.
Certification is the translator's signed statement, and it is included in the price.
A translation for USCIS, a US court or a US university is certified by the translator's signed statement, and nothing further is added to the quote.

What a certified Nepali translation is checked for
A USCIS officer, a state board of nursing or an admissions reader is looking for the same three things: a complete English text, a signed statement naming the translator, and a date. A Nepali order carries all three on one sheet, beside the Devanagari spelling of every name.
What the certification includes
- Signed statement of accuracy: the translator's name, signature and date, their CIOL or ITI membership number, our company stamp and our contact details.
- One spelling per person: where a citizenship certificate, a passport and a transcript spell a name differently, a single English form is fixed for the whole order and the Devanagari is printed beside it on the certificate.
- Nepali dates explained: a Bikram Sambat date, or a year of birth standing on its own, is converted and the conversion is set out in a translator's note, so no reader is left to do the arithmetic.
- Certified PDF: the certified file is emailed at no extra cost, which is what a US filing accepts. A printed set can be arranged if a receiving body insists on paper, and is quoted per order.

The citizenship certificate is what the rest of a Nepali file hangs on
Nepali records are written in Devanagari and issued by three kinds of office: the ward office registers births, marriages and migrations, the district administration office issues citizenship, and the education board or a university issues the academic papers. Each row pairs the record with the Devanagari printed on it and names the office behind it.

A birth certificate is frequently missing, because registration outside the cities was patchy for decades, and the citizenship certificate then carries the identity of the person instead. The character certificate is a police paper with its own validity window, so its issue date is read before anything else on the page.

Frequently asked questions
Send a scan or a clear photograph of every page to DHCTranslations and say who will read the English; the price comes back in writing before any translation starts. The work is done by a translator who reads Devanagari, and the PDF arrives with a signed statement, a date and our contact details on it.
One Nepali certificate is $54, covering the signed certification and the emailed PDF. Text past 400 words is billed at $0.12 per word into English, and English into Nepali at $0.14 per word. A family set of citizenship, birth and marriage papers is quoted on the combined word count.
A single certificate paid before 4pm ET on a weekday is usually emailed the same day, and a set of three or four documents clears within one business day. A university transcript or a long court order is given a fixed date in the quote before you commit.
Yes. USCIS asks for the whole document in English with a signed statement of the translator's competence, dated and carrying contact details, which is the requirement in 8 CFR 103.2(b)(3). Every Nepali page is translated, including a ward stamp on the reverse and a handwritten correction in the margin.
The citizenship certificate usually takes its place, since Nepali registration was patchy outside the cities for decades. It is translated as the identity document it is, not relabeled a birth certificate, and if a ward office can issue a late registration later we translate that as well.
They stay in the English, because they are part of the name and appear on Nepali papers. A passport spelling is followed where one exists, and where a US form has merged or dropped an element we note it, so Bahadur is not quietly turned into a middle initial.
The certificate carries its own issue date, and each receiving body sets its own currency rule, whether that is USCIS, a state licensing board or an employer. We reproduce the date exactly and leave the judgment to the office reading it, because altering it would be misrepresentation.
Yes. The evaluation service assesses the qualifications, so the certificates need the board, school, subjects, grades and marking scheme intact. Nepali letter grades are explained in a translator's note rather than converted into US grades, since a conversion invented by a translator is of no use to an evaluator.
Yes, often. Rural registrations are written by hand on printed forms, with a ward secretary's signature and a stamp that has partly failed. Legible text is translated, the impression is described in brackets, and anything genuinely unclear is flagged rather than guessed at.
Yes. Service records, discharge certificates and pension letters are translated with service numbers, ranks and unit names exactly as they appear, so they can be matched against the records a veteran already holds or a benefits office requests.
Yes. Families who came through the camps in eastern Nepal often hold a refugee card, a birth registration and US resettlement paperwork rather than a passport. All of it is translated, and the names are aligned across the set so they match the travel documents.
No. Scans or phone photographs of every page, front and back, are enough, and the certified PDF is emailed to you. If a printed set is wanted, it is quoted on request and sent by USPS tracked mail, with the postage calculated and agreed before payment.
DHCTranslations handles Nepali documents in the US, including citizenship certificates in Devanagari and ward-office birth registrations, with a signed statement behind each translation.
