    Document Translation Services

A certified translation is more than a translation: the receiving authority needs to see who translated it, when, and that the content is a true rendering of the original. Every document we handle is translated by a qualified human translator and issued with our certification page, so it can be submitted to UKVI, HMCTS, councils, universities and professional regulators without a follow-up request.

What Every Certified Document Translation Includes

    • Certification Page: Company details, translator name, signature, date and a statement that the translation is accurate and complete.

    • Translator Credentials: Qualifications and membership details for the linguist who completed the work.

    • Layout & Stamps: Original layout, seals, stamps and handwritten notes translated where they carry wording.

    • Statement of Truth: Added as an additional layer when the document is filed with HM Courts & Tribunals Service.

Not Sure Which Service You Need?

The document type and the receiving body decide which service applies, and the quote names the certification the authority asks for before you pay.

    • Check the Requirement: Ask the receiving body whether it needs certification, notarisation or an Apostille.

    • Send a Photo: A clear photo of the first page is enough for us to confirm the service and the price.

    • One Fixed Quote: Price, turnaround and delivery format confirmed before the work starts.

If your document is not listed below, we still translate it. Ask us first.

    Frequently asked questions

DHCTranslations provides certified document translations from the UK for birth, marriage and death certificates, passports, transcripts, court papers and company records. Documents are translated by qualified human translators and returned with a signed certification page the same day when the order and cleared payment are confirmed before 4pm on a working day.

Certified document translation starts at £40 per document for standard certificates such as birth, marriage and police check records, delivered as a certified PDF. Longer documents are priced per word after 400 words, and notarisation is quoted separately because it depends on the document and notary availability.

Most single documents can be completed the same day when the order and cleared payment are confirmed before 4pm on a working day. A same-day service is available for urgent Home Office, court and enrolment deadlines, and longer documents are given a delivery date before you pay.

A certified document translation is issued with a signed certification page confirming it is a true and accurate rendering of the original, including the translator name, credentials and the date.

Birth, marriage and death certificates, divorce decrees, passports and ID cards, driving licences, police clearance certificates, degrees and transcripts, court orders, contracts, bank statements and medical reports are all translated.

No. Work is done from clear scans or photographs, so originals stay with you. Send every page, including reverse sides, seals and handwritten notes, and we confirm if anything is missing before starting.

Sometimes. It is needed only when the document is filed with HM Courts & Tribunals Service, and we add the Statement of Truth when you confirm at quote stage that the translation is for court.

Yes. Solicitor notarisation and FCDO Apostille can be arranged alongside the certified translation when a document is used abroad, with the order of steps confirmed before anything is sent.

Yes. Tables, seals, stamps, signatures and marginal notes are translated where they carry wording and set out in the same order, so the receiving authority can compare the translation with the original page by page.

200+ language pairs are covered for official documents, including Urdu, Punjabi, Arabic, Polish, Romanian, Chinese, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Turkish and Hindi.
