What a certified Tagalog translation costs
Certified translations start at £40 per document: from £0.09 per word after the first 400 words into English, and from £0.10 per word for English into another language, with some pairs quoted higher.
Notarisation, where the receiving body asks for it, is quoted separately because it depends on the document and on notary availability.
FCDO apostille is available with our Express Service (usually 6-7 working days) or Urgent Service (usually 3-4 working days). Both are estimates: the real time depends on the document, the language pair and the level of certification, and is confirmed in your quote.

Certified Tagalog translations for UK desks
Every Tagalog order carries a certification page naming the translator, the language pair and the date, with the Filipino spelling of each name shown beside the English one.
What every Tagalog order includes
- Signed statement of accuracy: the translator's name, signature and date, their CIOL or ITI membership number, our company stamp and our contact details.
- Middle name explained: where the middle name is the mother's maiden surname, a note says so, because UK forms are not built for that convention.
- Annotations translated: marginal notes recording a marriage, correction or late registration are rendered rather than skipped.
- PDF and post: the certified PDF is emailed at no extra cost; printed copies are optional, by first class or tracked post.

Philippine records are printed on security paper by the statistics authority, and the names on them are a mix of Tagalog and English. Each row pairs a record with the wording it carries.

The middle name on a Philippine certificate is the mother's maiden surname, not a second forename, and a UK form will capture it wrongly if the structure is not explained.
What our clients say
Rated 4.9/5 from 314 verified reviews for Home Office applications, court-ready Statements of Truth and UK ENIC submissions.
“The annotation about my late registration was translated in full, which explained the date difference the caseworker had queried on my first application.”
Maria C.
“The clearance came back with the reference number and validity period clear, and the sponsorship paperwork was accepted without a follow-up.”
Jose R.
“Both documents were translated together and my mother's maiden name as the middle name was explained in a note, which stopped the spouse visa being queried.”
Ana D.

Frequently asked questions
DHCTranslations prepares certified English translations of Tagalog and Filipino records for clients across the UK, working from scans or clear photographs sent through the secure portal. PSA certificates, NBI clearances and university transcripts are all handled, and the finished PDF arrives with a signed certification page.
A single Philippine certificate starts from £40 per document, and longer files are priced from £0.09 per word after 400 words. Notarisation and apostille carry their own quote, since the notary and FCDO fees depend on the document. The Tagalog total is confirmed in writing before work begins. The £0.09 rate is for translation into English; English into Tagalog starts from £0.10 per word.
Same-day completion is available for most Tagalog documents when the order and cleared payment are confirmed before 4pm on a working day. Later confirmations, weekend orders and bank holidays roll to the next working day, and your quote shows the date.
Both are accepted, but PSA is the current issuing authority, having succeeded the NSO, and UK bodies usually ask for the security-paper version. Send whichever you hold; we translate the document you supply and name the issuing authority exactly as printed on it.
It is the Certificate of No Marriage Record from the PSA, showing that no marriage is registered in your name. UK spouse and fiancé visa applications often require it, and where a marriage has been recorded it is replaced by the PSA marriage certificate.
In the Philippines the middle name is the mother's maiden surname, not a second forename. We follow the passport spelling, keep the middle name in place, and add a translator's note explaining the convention so a UK caseworker does not read it as a name that has changed.
The clearance states its own issue date and validity, and UK bodies apply their own currency rules for visas, sponsorship and employment. Both dates are reproduced exactly, and if your application has a deadline, tell us and we will work to it.
Yes. Professional Regulation Commission licences, board ratings and registration cards are translated with the licence number, profession and validity dates intact, which is what the NMC needs alongside your transcript and diploma.
Yes, in practice. Filipino is the national language and is built on Tagalog, so official documents in either are handled the same way. We name the language as it appears on the document rather than substituting one label for the other.
Yes, but not the Philippine original: the FCDO will only legalise a document issued in the UK, or our translation once a UK notary has certified it. The London notarisation comes first, and both are quoted apart from the translation fee.
